5hrs N of Luang Prabang ☺️ Panoy Viewpoint hike in Muang Ngoy 🇱🇦

Today we’re hiking up to Panoy Viewpoint, about a 30 min hike from our guesthouse, here in Muang Ngoy, Laos (about 5 hrs north of Luang Prabang). We started about 8am. This hike would be a great sunset hike, but we suspected it would be a very nice early morning hike with how foggy the mornings have been around here. It was actually Amazing! ❤️ At the top of the viewpoint, we were in the clouds, and we got there just in time, because after about 15 minutes, they clouds dissipated and then we had a great view of the Nam Ou river below. Again, if you’re ever in Luang Prabang, you should make your way up to Muang Ngoy to enjoy this 😊.

5hrs N of Luang Prabang 🦇 Caves in Muang Ngoy 🇱🇦

Today we’re running to the caves in Muang Ngoy, Laos! Actually, we’re taking a tractor ride to the Tham Kang caves 🤣. Muang Ngoy is about 5hrs north of Luang Prabang. It’s our 1st day here, and after resting up (after a long journey to get here) we’re going to the see the caves, and the old town (Ngoy Gao). 5hrs N of Luang Prabang 😅 Journey to Muang Ngoy 🇱🇦

What an adventure to get to Muang Ngoy 😅 After a quick breakfast in Luang Prabang, we drove to Nong Khiaw, about 3.5 hrs north. Then took a boat about 1 hr 30 mins north, to finally arrive in Muang Ngoy 😀 where we settled into the Ning Ning guesthouse 🏡 a very simple, but beautiful accommodation perched high above the Nam Ou river. Everyone at Ning Ning’s was super nice, and everything their restaurant made was super delicious! 😋 We were especially lucky to find a great driver for this trip, his name is Pone. I will leave is contact information below if you need a driver in and around Luang Prabang, you should definitely contact him. His van was clean, comfortable and he drove us very safely to Nong Khiaw to catch the boat to Muang Ngoy. He actually drove us in our last video too!

Luang Prabang Kuang Si Falls (FULL FUN DAY) 🤩 🇱🇦

No trip to Luang Prabang is complete without visiting Kuang Si Falls. You have to see these AMAZING waterfalls! So many beautiful cascading, turquoise waterfalls. You won’t regret it! After the falls, the fun continued with a full day of activities including a stop to try some Luwat Coffee, a nice river-front lunch, a walk thru Wat Xiengthong temple, and ending the day picking up a couple last goodies at the Luang Prabang Night Market. Luang Prabang Tak Bat + Morning Market 🛍️ 🇱🇦

It’s our 2nd day in Luang Prabang, Laos, and we want to show you the traditional Tak Bat in Luang Prabang. Early in the morning, we rode our bikes to the temple. Afterwards, we visited the temple (Wat May Souvannapoumaram). Then, we made our way to the Morning Market, followed by a traditional Lao breakfast, Khao Piak (soup). Finally, a quick ride back to our guesthouse (Thongbay) to catch our in-room breakfast 😋. It was great! We hope you enjoy our video.
