Peters Canyon Loop (Orange County, CA) Beautiful 6.3 Mile Hike!

Today we’re at Peters Canyon Regional Park in Orange County. We’re hiking the Peters Canyon Loop Trail, so we parked on the North side of the reservoir, in the ‘main’ parking lot. The hiking loop is about 6.3 miles, considered a ‘moderately challenging’ hike.

This was filmed on DJI Osmo Pocket 3.

Lao New Year Festival – Fort Worth, Texas 2023 ບຸນປີໃຫ່ມລາວ

We went to Fort Worth, Texas to visit friends and also go to the biggest Lao New Year festival in the USA at Wat Lao Thepnimith. It was so much fun and we helped our friends, the Former Lao Monk Association raise donations for the temple. Watch the video to see how much we raised.

4 Ways to Enjoy Chinese 🐉 Lunar New Year in Chinatown, Los Angeles

  1. Go to the Thien Hao Temple in downtown Los Angeles to pray for New Year blessings and enjoy the beautiful sights within the temple. They open at 10am and it’s pretty amazing!
  2. Go around the corner to the Chinatown Central Plaza. Walk through, get some lunch, buy some souvenirs, support the local businesses. It’s a fun time!
  3. Go one of the many Chinese restaurants in Chinatown. A few steps away from the temple, we went to Zen Mei Bistro for lunch and it was delicious. But there are many more restaurants in Chinatown.
  4. Enjoy the Annual Golden Dragon Parade by finding a good spot along Hill Street or Broadway in Chinatown. We found a good spot, less crowded, on Hill Street (across from Full Moon restaurant), several steps away from Chinatown Central Plaza.

Maui, Hawaii 🚗 Road to Hana – Banana Bread, Pipiwai Trail, Bamboo Forest, Waimoku Falls

It’s our 3rd day in Maui and we’re taking the famous Road to Hana, in Maui, Hawaii. It is a long, 50-mile windy road to Hana, and along the way we made a few stops. First stop was at the famous Aunty Sandy’s Banana Bread shop at the half-way point to Hana. It was good as expected, and across the street is a beautiful rocky shore with great ocean views. Nice place to stop, rest and enjoy your banana bread or lunch before you get back on the road. Next, we tried to stop at the famous Black Sand Beach, but without a reservation we could not get in. So, it’s highly recommended to make a reservation. Driving towards our next destination, Kipahulu Vistor Center (Pipiwai Trailhead), there are more windy roads, coastal views, beautiful trees and a couple of small waterfalls. We stopped at the second waterfall we saw (off the side of the road), and it had a nice-sized swimming pool I jumped into. It’s fun stop to take a quick dip before moving onto the next stop, Kipahulu Vistor Center. From the Pipiwai trailhead, it’s about a 1 hour hike to Waimoku Falls, with streams to cross, a giant Banyan tree, a couple of bridges, and an AMAZING bamboo forest. After about an hour you’ll finally reach the majestic Waimoku Falls, a 400-foot cascading waterfall that is breathtaking and definitely worth the hike.
